Saturday August 3rd Discovering New Wines with Master Sommelier Chris Tanghe

$225.00
sold out

Chris Tanghe was one of my most regular and favorite guests when I had a super club — Cookhouse — at the farm more than a decade ago. He would always be the most charming and have the greatest smile as he called me on my shit. He was clearly knowledgable on many aspects of food and wine. Now that he is a Master Sommelier I am guessing he knows even more. And his smile is as great as ever.

Chris went to the Culinary Institute of America and has worked at some of the city’s most iconic restaurants such as Canlis, RN74, Matt’s in the Market, The Herbfarm, and Aragona. He is now the Director of Education at GuildSomm. Let’s just say he knows a lot about wine.

For this class Chris will take us on an adventure to discover the lesser known grape varieties and the regions that classically produce them from around the globe. While the names may be unfamiliar, the aromas and flavors won't be bonkers, so fear not. The lineup of wines will be perfect for the summer season and will introduce you to bottles that are not only delicious and interesting but also will broaden your repertoire while not breaking the bank.

We will have lunch in the middle of the day between glasses of beautiful wine. Chris brings a tremendous passion for wine to the table and can easily and effectively convey that to you, getting you excited about tasting wine and understanding the joy of wine.
