This is your chance to spend the day with Charlie learnings the secrets to making beautiful, moist and flavorful cakes.

Charlie will show us how to bake and then to cut perfectly even olive oil ricotta cake layers, fill them with a NW huckleberry jam, and finish with a tangy cream cheese frosting. We will also learn how to bake and build her favorite cake: the Smores Cake. A remarkable cake made with graham cracker cake, soaked with honey and layered with sweet chocolate ganache and marshmallow meringue. So tasty.

We will take a break with lunch and then finish the afternoon with slices of the Smores cake and the Huckleberry Ricotta cake.

Charlie Dunmire is the owner and creator of Deep Sea Sugar & Salt, a nationally known cake shop in Georgetown, Seattle. Since discovering her passion for food early on, Charlie has been baking professionally for over 20 years. The last 10 years have been focused on her true love, cakes, and she is known for the creative flavor combinations that showcase local and seasonal ingredients.
